2009 Event  Sunday 8th March 2009

Well we've broken the £3,000 barrier! The grand sum of £3,003 has now been raised for Meningitis UK as a result of EDGEAhead 2009. Thanks to everyone who helped and supported and to all of you who took part. Thanks page attached.

Congratulations to everyone. I know this was a first race for many of you so especially well done to you and to those who got round the course in all kinds of fancy dress! Some good photos in the gallery which I have now updated and more photos always welcome. We are particularly keen to find some more pictures of the Tenor Ladies (Harper football team dressed as middle aged women!). If anyone has photos of the lads, either running or receiving their prize for best fancy dress, then I'd be very grateful if you would send them in for the website. You can email them to me at edgeahead@wilkinson68.wanadoo.co.uk

Meanwhile I still have unclaimed lost property (and I would really like to re-unite it with its owner if at all possible)

If there is any sponsor money still out there, you can send it directly to the charity at the address on the form or I can forward it for you (please make cheques payable to Meningitis UK and enclose your form). Do drop me an email and let me know how much you have raised. I chose Meningitis UK because my friend's beautiful little daughter Jessica died in October from this terrible disease. She was two years and eight months old. Meningitis UK launched  their Search 4 A Vaccine campaign last year to raise £7 million in 7 years to fund research into finding a vaccine and every penny we can raise will take them closer to their goal and may protect others from suffering such a devastating tragedy. Thanks for all your efforts.
